देहरादून /पौड़ी। प्रदेश के पंचायती राज मंत्री सतपाल महाराज ने कहा है कि राज्य के पर्वतीय जनपदों में जंगली जानवरों के बढ़ते हमलों और उनसे आम जन की सुरक्षा के लिए विस्तृत कार्ययोजना तैयार की जा रही है। पंचायत विभाग के अधिकारियों को अनटाइड फंड से रिहायशी इलाकों में ऐसे स्थानों की झाड़ियों को काटवाने के निर्देश दिए गए हैं जहां जंगली जानवरों के छिपे होने की आशंका रहती है।
उन्होंने जंगली जानवरों के हमलों में मारे जाने वाले लोगों को 10 लाख की मुआवजा राशि दिये जाने और घायलों के उपचार का पूरा खर्च सरकार द्वारा वहन किये जाने के निर्णय पर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी का आभार व्यक्त किया है। महाराज ने कहा कि पर्वतीय जनपदों में जंगली जानवरों के बढ़ते हमलों को देखते हुए आमजन एवं ग्रामीणों की सुरक्षा के मध्येनजर पकड़े गए जंगली जानवरों को प्राणी उद्यानों और वनतारा में रखने की व्यवस्था बनाने पर गंभीरता से विचार किया जा रहा है।
इसके लिए बड़ी-बड़ी संस्थाओं एवं कंपनियों से उनके रखरखाव एवं खान-पान की व्यवस्था पर होने वाले खर्च को वाहन करने का उनसे अनुरोध किया जा रहा है। क्योंकि एक बाघ को पड़कर यदि किसी भी प्राणी उद्यान में रखा जाता है तो उसके खान-पान एवं रखरखाव पर 20 से 25 लाख रुपए के लगभग वार्षिक खर्च आता है। इसलिए इस तरह की पहल करना आवश्यक है। ताकि आम लोगों के साथ-साथ वन्य जीवों के भी सुरक्षा हो सके।*
